What to include

  • The agency mark, given room — the Masthead layout suits a wide wordmark.
  • A role title clients recognize: 'Creative Director', 'Account Lead'.
  • A link to recent work, not the homepage.
  • The banner slot for this month's launch or event, switched off afterwards.

What works for agencies

  • 1

The masthead layout gives a horizontal wordmark room; use it if your logo is wide.

  • 2

Rotate the banner for launches and events, then turn it off — it's not permanent.

  • 3

Roll out one team standard so twenty people don't send twenty different designs.

Common questions

Can we change the banner without touching everyone's signature?
With Workspace management, yes — update the design once and every account's signature is re-synced. Manually installed signatures each need re-pasting, which is the usual reason agencies move to central management.
Do animated GIF banners work?
They render in Gmail and Apple Mail but show only the first frame in Outlook desktop. A static PNG is the dependable choice, and it's what the builder accepts.

Every template here is free to customize in the signature generator and install yourself. If your company runs on Google Workspace, the same design can be applied to every employee from the admin side — see how team management works.
