Student Email Signature Templates

A student signature is mostly about what you're studying and when you finish. These keep it to your name, program, school and one LinkedIn icon — enough for a professor or a recruiter, without pretending to be a company.

What to include

  • Program and graduation year in the title: 'B.S. Computer Science, 2027'.
  • Your school as the company line.
  • Your .edu email address.
  • LinkedIn, and a portfolio link only if it's current.

What works for students

  • 1

Put your program and graduation year in the title field: 'B.S. Computer Science, 2026'.

  • 2

Use your school's name as the company line and its website as the link.

  • 3

Add a portfolio link only if it's current; an empty portfolio hurts more than none.

Common questions

Should a student include a phone number?
For internship and research outreach, yes — recruiters and faculty do call. For general coursework email you can leave it off; the field is optional.
Photo or no photo?
Either works. A photo helps when you're emailing people you've met once at a career fair; the Student Card template uses one, the Compact and Essential versions don't.

Every template here is free to customize in the signature generator and install yourself. If your company runs on Google Workspace, the same design can be applied to every employee from the admin side — see how team management works.
